Edmond’s Prehistoric Realm - A Dinosaur Excavation in Frankfurt

The excavation team of the exhibition "Edmond's Prehistoric Realm - A Dino Excavation in Frankfurt" has meanwhile excavated large parts of the bone bed from Wyoming and has already discovered numerous fossil teeth and bones of Edmontosaurus and many other dinosaurs. Not only the finds themselves but also the location of the fossils in the bone bed tell the scientists a lot about the ecosystem in Wyoming almost 70 million years ago.

There are many other discoveries besides the dinosaurs: fossil finds of turtles, crocodiles, mammals and as yet undetermined animals and plants. An excavation highlight are teeth of large predatory dinosaurs, including an eight centimeter tall T. rex tooth. It remains exciting at our Frankfurt dino-excavation and we are happy that work can continue next year!
