Then join the Senckenberg Nature Scouts! Since 2011, these budding young researchers aged 12 to 14 have been exploring Görlitz and the surrounding area. Once a week, under the guidance of scientists from the Senckenberg Museum Görlitz, they set out to uncover the secrets of nature through fun and hands-on experiences. As the spring season kicks off, there are once again openings in the natural history club.
As a Nature Scout
• you’ll observe birds
• search for wolf tracks
• catch aquatic animals with a net
• identify wildflowers, butterflies, or grasshoppers
• tackle nature conservation projects
• conduct experiments
• work with a microscope
• and much more exciting stuff…

The Nature Scouts are led by scientists from the Senckenberg Museum of Natural History in Görlitz, all of whom are parents themselves and have years of experience working with youth groups. They are committed to passing on their knowledge to the naturalists of tomorrow.
