Our permanent guests!

The Senckenberg Museum of Natural History Görlitz provides an excellent insight into the nature of Upper Lusatia. In its modern exhibits, visitors can learn more about  the enormous biodiversity of the region with its fishponds and heathland in the north, the Lusatian hills up to the mountains in the south. Typical habitats with their animals and plants are displayed in natural-looking dioramas. Visitors will meet Wolf, Eagle and Crane and hundred of other animals eye to eye.

Other exhibits depict the geology of Upper Lusatia, animals of the tropical rain forests and the African savannah and a 30-fold enlarged soil model. A vivarium completes the exhibitions  with living local and tropical animals.
