The 5.70 m high model of a soil column represents a 30-fold magnified soil core from a local deciduous forest. It shrinks the visitor and takes him to the hidden and unknown world of the soil and its inhabitants. The soil column symbolizes the scientific focus of the museum, the soil zoology.
